Magasin Général

Tempting shoe selection at Anaïse.
Hansel from Basel socks at Anaïse.
An amazing collection of livres français from Book/Shop. (Fantastic shop!)
Thom Gunn broadside I picked up from Book/Shop.

Lovely printed dresses from Lotfi.

Beautiful Yoko of Umamimart.

Kathleen Whitaker jewelry. The drop chain earrings are gorgeous! I can not stop thinking about them.

Michele Janezic's beautiful collection.
Besides the gorgeous weather in San Francisco, an amazing treasure disguised as a pop up shop settled itself by the bay.
Magasin Général hosted an array of talented designers, makers, artists, and independent shops.
I managed leaving without breaking the bank, but now my wish list is more like a novel (a romantic, French Riviera kind of novel).
If you're in S.F. tomorrow head over to the Fort Mason Center and stop by Magasin Général.

We had an amazing Easter with family and friends. I wore my Mina Stone dress from Anaise and my Matta scarf from Pretty Mommy. It just so happened they go together perfectly.

Malia Mills Aquitaine Dress

I have not had a chance to wear my Malia Mills Aquitaine dress so I tried it on and had a mini photo shoot with it. I will probably end up wearing it to my brother's wedding next month.
I am such a huge fan of Malia Mills...her clothes and swimsuits are beautifully made and feminine.

I had a whirlwind mini trip with my girlfriends in SF/Oakland. We had an amazing meal at Gracias Madre in the Mission and coffee at Philz. I came across a beautiful magnolia tree in full bloom...I love Spring! And to top off my mini trip I had lunch with sweet Renee (she made the most amazing tea).
I had a chance to see her Spring pieces in person. Lets just say my wish list has multiplied. I almost picked up the Rachel Comey Husband Coat, and its been on my mind ever since.

Anaïse

So good, right?! I went crazy clicking through the new Spring arrivals at Anaïse.
Renee's styling is gorgeous!
The Vanessa Bruno Pleated Pants, well they are perfect!
And yes, I have said a lot about A Détacher on my blog, but I can not help my self...the pieces are fantastic!

Skin Detox II

After my first installment of skin detox, I have changed a few of the products out from my routine. Mainly, because I felt the products were not cost-efficient. I got rid of the MyChelle fruit enzyme cleanser and the foundation. I really loved both products, but they both ran out too quickly. After some more trial and error, I found Keys: Island Rx Foaming Facial Cleanser and Keys: Luminos Hydrating Moisturizer. I love these products; no harsh chemicals and no preservatives, and the cleansing foam lasts forever!
During the day I use Josie Maran Argan Oil or Humbolt Botanicals Topical Nutrient Serum. The serum is amazing! It is packed with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and it is multi purpose as well.
And I am still taking Source Natural vitamins: Skin Eternal and the Hyaluronic Acid.
Much more beneficial than any moisturizer can do for your skin is real whole foods.
My favorite juice I make every day is Kale Juice. I have been drinking Kale juice for the past three years, and it has really helped my skin health and my overall health. It gives me energy for the entire the day. It is my lifesaver, before Kale juice I drank way too many cups of chai and coffee. By the end of the day I was jittery and exhausted. I still enjoy those drinks. I love them too much to give up but I drink them in moderation.
For now here is my recipe for Kale juice. There are plenty of recipes out there to try. I modified a recipe to fit my taste:
1 1/2 cup filtered water
3 to 4 dates
1 tsp light agave
4 large leaves of organic kale
1 pear
1 apple
1 to 2 tbsp lemon juice
Stick the ingredients in a blender and enjoy!
*I also add Healthforce Nutritionals Vitamineral Green and Vitamin C to my kale juice.
I am curious of what you do for your skin care routine...

I received some beautiful vintage pieces from Milena. One of the garments (the top) is her design. The print is gorgeous! Both of the garments look and feel ethereal. The vintage Indian dress is very special. Something about it feels like good women have worn it. I can not wait to see what she has created for her Spring collection!
Check out more of her gorgeous work here.3.21.2012
