I still can not believe how fast the weekend came and went. Sorry for the blurry photos, but I was busy celebrating my BF's birthday (Happy Birthday Friend!), and after one drink i had problems operating my camera..serious light weight. Her boyfriend bought some delicious strawberries and I made her two Persian love cakes...sooo delicious. I adapted the recipe by adding more cardamom to the cake batter and a bit of vanilla bean, double the amount of rose water and saffron to the whipped cream. And if you ever make this cake, which i highly recommend do not butter the pans, but do use the parchment paper as the recipe suggests.

I am still bummed Ryan Gosling was completely snubbed by the Oscars and Michelle Williams did not win her well deserved Oscar for their performances in Blue Valentine.

Thrifted

I was so thrilled when I found this vintage kokeshi doll and ceramic vase. My aunt collects kokeshi dolls so I am sending it to her. It is an unusual kokeshi, because it has arms. I still can not believe I bought it for a few dollars.

We had a lovely Valentine's Day. We went on a walk and ate lots of sugary hearts. Olive had a sugar high then a sugar low, and she fell asleep with one of her balloons in hand.

I have to give her photo credit for the first photo. She was really proud of it.
