And I thought the last pair of clogs from my last post were cute. No. 6 has done it again...what am I going to do?! I love everything! The coral clogs are beautiful. And there is more here.
Doris Ho-Kane's review of the recent A Détacher Fall 2012 collection summed it up the best,
"There is a timeless credibility to A Détacher that many of-the-moment designers lack. Although never mainstream, A Détacher is always diverging/converging and is very active, having initially erupted in 1998 into the world of art and fashion." It was comforting to read her exuberant review after reading some wishy washy reviews of the show. I felt alone for a millisecond in the interweb consciousness...was I the only one that adored this collection? Of course not.
"R3 created this campaign trailer to raise completion funds for this film and to support the Save Kasama Potters movement in response to the 2011 earthquake in Japan. This is the story of Akio Nukaga, a Kasama potter who spearheads a movement to bring potters together to rebuild and rejuvenate Kasama and its rich ceramic-making heritage."
My sister gave me a sweet valentine's heart from Peru.
The Araks Olga Bralett in lovely pastel shades are so sweet. I would love to add the mist colorway into my small bra collection. available at anaïse.
Happy Valentine's Day!

Sometimes I feel like there are not enough of these days where I can watch O reading and relaxing, while the sunlight moves across the room.
Received the most beautiful handmade tissue box cover from a relative in Japan.

I am really starting to miss Japan after looking through all my photos. Some of the most memorable meals were with my relatives. I forgot to take pictures during those meals, because I was busy chatting and taking photos with them. I did not want to post everything I ate so I just picked a few of my favorites, the ramen was amazing! It looks inconspicuous, but the broth was over the top delicious.

Hi! Happy New Year! Geez, I have not blogged for a while, but I have been in Japan and I was without internet connection for quite some time. I had a lovely trip even though it was freezing the snow was beautiful. I probably gained a few pounds, but it was worth it. The food was amazing as always (I will share some photos soon)! I miss Japan already, but I am glad to be back.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The day after Thanksgiving we took a short camping trip up North. Luckily it did not rain, but it was freezing during the night. I had the hardest time sleeping in the tent. Half the time I was freaked out about some noises I heard, but my husband reassured me it would not attack us. Maybe posting a picture of myself with only a few hours of sleep is not the best idea, but I love my top I got from Milena (she has made some beautiful hand knits recently) and I have not gone a day without wearing my Matta scarf from Michelle's shop Pretty Mommy. My schedule has been crazy lately, and taking a good chunk of time off from blogging was the best thing for me, but I think it is about time I start again.
All of these pieces make me drool. I learned of Jessica Winzelberg's jewelry from Joanna's amazing blog. I love the bracelets from dull Diamond I need that pair! Such eye candy! The Odette bracelet has been on my wish list for a while now, as well as the Aesa and Mociun pieces... I need a sugar daddy.
