Jackie Kennedy's lovely painting "The Blue Room Christmas Tree", 1961
I am off to my Mom's house for Christmas festivities. I can not wait to celebrate with my family and friends. I hope that everyone will have wonderful and happy holiday.
I am feeling a little more myself today and managed to make a delicious cappuccino. All thanks to a generous friend who picked up a bag of Intelligentsia's Black Cat espresso for me. Yum!
I took a solo trip this weekend and stayed with my BF. Good times! We spent Saturday at her studio and I am in love with her new work. Pretty much ate the best Persian, Greek, Mexican food all weekend...lets just say I am ready to hibernate for the rest of the week. Had Tahdig for the first time...my new favorite rice dish!
Christmas Wishlist item# 4 (hint hint to a special reader): Modern cashmere sweaters inspired by classic vintage mens knitwear by Lou. Available exclusively at La Garςonne.
I have a huge ballet obsession, and with the Nutcracker and Black Swan to watch in the same month what better way to celebrate the season with a little tulle. I was happy to see that Opening Ceremony now carries Repetto Tutus! I can only imagine a little impromptu ballet dancing with my daughter in matching tutus...she will flip out!
Jeffrey Monteiro's blouse from his Spring 2011 collection is reminiscent of the Clothilde, n'est-ce pas?
Also, I had no idea he was the newest design director for Bill Blass. I did not even realize the Bill Blass Label was still in existence, until I read about it here and here last night.
The Bill Blass Dress is from the Spring 2011 collection (Monteiro's second collection with BB). It reminds me of the Eniko dress, down to the styling of the outfit.
