I have a little obsession with floral print shoes, especially shoes that are practical and comfortable. My first pair of floral print shoes were Converse when i was 13, which i got from Japan. During that time no one sold them in the States...so they were special. Future forward...these Rachel Comey brogues appear before me, instantly i am in love. I am impressed with Comey's take on such a classic shoe. Available at Bird.

One Stop Shop: Madewell
Swedish Hasbeens, Hansel from Basel Socks, Mor lip delight balm, Super sunglasses (my favorite sunglasses...C'mon they have Carl Zeiss lenses ...super cool, and yes they do make the world around you look prettier), and Bensimon...its like they are reading our minds or our blogs. In any case Madewell is definitely a one stop shop.

Couple Love
Evidence from the Sartorialist that you and your significant other do not need to be Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to be a stylish couple. I love it when men dress as well as their women... too many t-shirts and baseball caps out there, in my opinion.
Florals Galore
I really like this outfit...even the mock turtleneck, which normally I dislike. I may need to invest in a crazy floral carpet bag.

January Jones
January Jones looked amazing in this strapless Versace gown at the Emmys. The gown was made from royal blue silk petals...stunning texture. I love that her hair had that slept in look.

An Amazing DIY Wedding
I do not usually gush over weddings, but when I got a glimpse of this orchard wedding via Size Too Small I had to repost, because in the last two months I found out both of my brothers had gotten engaged and my little sister is planning hers. So every time I visit home I feel like I am in a bad episode of Bridezillas...more like Groomzillas. I just hope they will have weddings like this one.
This wedding in my mind is the perfect wedding: small, beautiful with thoughtful details, and all handmade by the bride and groom. The groom (Nao) made the engagement ring himself! And Artemis (of Tales of a Junkaholic) reworked a vintage 1931 dress she bought for £2.99! Awesome.

Lover® Be Mine
I am head over heels in love with Lover's "Untitled" collection. The collection is split into two hemispheres...I am definitely still mingling in the Southern Hemisphere...I do not want Summer to end! I just love the color palette of corals and blushing pinks. My favorite collection out thus far. I am digging the long skirt, t-shirt, and oxfords look. Take a long look here.
Some Like It Wild: Repetto x Opening Ceremony
Have you seen these beauties at Opening Ceremony?! Opening Ceremony collaborated with Repetto, and I am in love with them, especially the pony hair giraffe ballet flats. I have several pairs of Repettos, and I wear them until there are holes in the soles. Seriously, the best flats. I am thinking of getting a few of my pairs resoled, has anyone had luck with that?

Amazing Literacy Resource: International Children's Digital Library
The International Children's Digital Library was developed by a team of researches from the University of Maryland it is one of my favorite digital libraries on the Web, and one of the oldest it was established in 2002. The mission of ICDL "is to support the world's children in becoming effective members of the global community-who exhibit tolerance and respect for diverse cultures, languages and ideas-by making the best in children's literature available online free of charge". They also touch on the dilemma of primary language loss of immigrant children, " In their new homelands, it may be difficult, if not impossible, to find children's books from their cultures and in their mother tongue. Parents have little access to the books and stories from their youth to pass on to the next generation. Many children must grow up without knowledge of their family's heritage and first language. A fundamental principle of the Foundation is that children and their families deserve to have access to the books of their culture, as well as the majority culture, regardless of where they live."
The ICDL database offers 4,365 free books in over 50 languages, and you can download a book to an e-reader from cover to cover, and there is also an app for the iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad. It is a great resource for parents, educators, and anyone who loves illustration and children's literature.
